Lifetime Care & Craftsmanship Warranty

Every ARTAX ring is individually handcrafted and finished in our Philadelphia studio. We stand behind our craftsmanship and remain available to care for your ring long after it leaves our hands.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every ARTAX ring is warranted to the original purchaser for life against defects in materials and workmanship.

If our inspection determines that an issue resulted from an ARTAX manufacturing or craftsmanship defect, we will repair or remedy the issue at no charge.

For confirmed warranty defects within the United States, ARTAX will also cover reasonable insured shipping to and from our studio.

Complimentary Lifetime Care

The original purchaser may return an ARTAX ring to our studio for complimentary lifetime care, including:

Professional cleaning

Inspection of the ring's overall condition

Inspection of diamond and gemstone settings

Tightening of settings when appropriate

Inspection of hand engraving and milgrain

Light polishing and refinishing when appropriate

First rhodium replating for white-gold rings

For routine complimentary care, the customer is responsible for insured shipping to and from ARTAX Studio.

Additional services, restoration, or repairs beyond complimentary care will always be discussed and quoted before any chargeable work is performed.

Hand Engraving & Milgrain

Hand engraving and milgrain are integral parts of many ARTAX designs and are inspected as part of our complimentary lifetime care.

Like all finely worked surfaces, engraving and milgrain can gradually show natural wear with years of use. Normal wear of engraved, milgrained, or finished surfaces is not considered a manufacturing defect.

If engraving or milgrain eventually requires restoration or re-cutting, ARTAX can evaluate the ring and recommend appropriate restoration options. Any chargeable restoration will be quoted before work begins.

Sizing & Alterations

Because many ARTAX designs feature continuous hand engraving, milgrain, diamonds, or ornamentation around the band, resizing after completion may be limited or impossible.

We strongly encourage customers to confirm their ring size before ordering. ARTAX offers sizing guidance and assistance before production, and a sizing bar may be incorporated into certain designs upon request when appropriate.

Changes in finger size after purchase, or resizing required because an incorrect size was selected when ordering, are not considered manufacturing defects.

If you are uncertain about your size, please contact us before placing your order. We will be happy to assist.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Our Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty covers defects in ARTAX materials and workmanship. It does not cover:

Normal wear and aging

Scratches, dents, deformation, or surface wear resulting from use

Damage caused by impact, accidents, misuse, or improper care

Loss, theft, or disappearance of the ring

Normal wear of engraving, milgrain, polished surfaces, plating, or other finishes

Lost, chipped, broken, or damaged diamonds or gemstones resulting from impact, wear, accident, or damage to the setting

Changes in ring size or fit over time

Damage or alterations resulting from work performed by another jeweler

ARTAX cannot warrant workmanship, alterations, or damage resulting from service performed by another jeweler. Having a piece professionally cleaned elsewhere does not, by itself, void the ARTAX craftsmanship warranty.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Our warranty covers the craftsmanship of ARTAX-made stone settings but is not a replacement for jewelry insurance.

If a stone-related issue is determined to have resulted from a defect in our workmanship, it will be addressed under the Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty.

Loss, theft, accidental damage, chipping, or damage resulting from normal wear is not covered. For valuable jewelry, we recommend maintaining appropriate personal jewelry insurance.

Repairs & Restoration

Not every problem that develops during the life of a ring is a manufacturing defect—and that does not mean we stop caring for the piece.

If your ARTAX ring is damaged, worn, or requires work outside the warranty, we will be happy to inspect it whenever reasonably possible and recommend appropriate repair or restoration options.

No chargeable repair or restoration will be performed without your approval.

Shipping for Service

For routine Complimentary Lifetime Care, the customer is responsible for insured shipping to and from ARTAX Studio.

If an issue is confirmed by ARTAX to be covered under the Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty, ARTAX will cover reasonable insured shipping to and from our studio within the United States.

Please contact ARTAX before sending any jewelry to us. We will provide service instructions and determine the appropriate next step. Jewelry should not be shipped to the studio without prior authorization.

Original Purchaser

The Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty and Complimentary Lifetime Care apply to the original purchaser of the ARTAX ring.

We are also happy to evaluate authentic ARTAX pieces owned by subsequent owners for available repair, maintenance, or restoration services. Charges may apply.

Our Commitment

An ARTAX ring is made to be worn and lived with for years to come. Should your ring ever need attention, we want the opportunity to see it again and care for the work we created.
